Presbyterian Church (USA), Where Hatred Triumphs Over Ethics

As the Muslim Middle East burns, the Presbyterian Church (USA) takes a brave stand – against Israel.

Sunni Muslim terrorist group Boko Haram is slaughtering its way through Christian communities in Nigeria, its reputation for barbarism preceding it as it rides a wave of genocidal attacks.

Somalia’s Sunni al-Shabab Muslim terrorist group is wreaking havoc in both Somalia and neighbouring Kenya, its reputation for mindless brutality well-deserved following many significant attacks in both countries. It is viciously opposed not only to Christianity but also to Sufi Muslim traditions and seeks every opportunity to uproot all traces of Sufi Islamic practice.

A large number of Sunni Al Qaeda-inspired Muslim terrorist groups are spreading their poison across the Maghreb; North African Muslim nations such as Libya are being increasingly held to ransom as the violence enters a new phase with the use of advanced weaponry.

Lebanon is in a vice, trying desperately to maintain some semblance of normality as the Shia Muslim terrorist group Hezbollah tightens its stranglehold on this multi-ethnic nation that has seen so much sectarian strife and bloodshed over the past few decades.

Shia Muslim terrorist group Hezbollah is also operating with impunity in neighbouring Syria, whose nominal head of state, the Muslim Alawite Bashar al-Assad, has so far slaughtered about 160,000 of his own citizens while at the same time making more than 9 million Syrians, of whom 5.5 million children, either internally displaced or refugees overseas as a result of the civil war.

The other party in that Syrian civil war is the Sunni Muslim ISIL/ISIS forces (Islamic State in the Levant/Islamic State in Syria). Their brutality is legendary, they indiscriminately behead Shia Muslims and burn Christians alive in a deliberate campaign of terror aimed at driving away all those who do not conform to their strict interpretation of Islam. ISIS/ISIL have achieved immense military successes both in Syria and now also in neighbouring Iraq, about one-third of which they control.

Iraq’s Shia Muslim Prime Minister Nouri Al-Maliki has deliberately sidelined his country’s 35 percent Sunni minority, leading to the civil strife we see now, with the Sunni ISIS currently in control of about one-third of Iraq and much of its vital oil infrastructure.

Further to the east, neighbouring Shia Iran has genocidal nuclear weapons ambitions and is now being given a free ticket by the US and other blinkered Western nations to play a decisive role in Shia-majority Iraq to prevent its further dismemberment. Iran has always had its eyes on greater control of the Shia parts of Iraq, and world powers now handing this prize over to the mullahs in Tehran – a gift not even they would have dreamed of in their wildest imagination. But such is the fickleness of the West – and its inability to see beyond the extremely limited agenda it has set for itself.

What is that limited agenda, you ask? Well, with North Africa and large swathes of sub-Saharan Africa ablaze with fanatical Islamist terrorism, and equally fanatical Islamist terrorism setting uncontrollable sectarian fires across the Levant and reaching all the way into Iraq and Iran, the world powers have their sights set on just one tiny, utterly irrelevant but massively costly scenario. A scenario that over the past 70 years has cost the world community untold billions of dollars in “aid” which somehow ends up in overseas private bank accounts (see also here, here, here and here).

The Israeli-Palestinian Arab issue. A non-issue. Something that can be resolved tomorrow morning at 10 o’clock over a cup of coffee and a bagel if only the Palestinian Arabs reconcile themselves to having lost every war of extermination they and their overseas backers have started against the Jewish state. All it takes is for them to publicly acknowledge that they no longer have any ambition to erase Israel and eradicate every last Jew from the region. That’s all.

Instead, as Africa and the Middle East are ablaze with Islamic terrorism, the West continues to pay lip service – and massive amounts of its citizens’ hard-earned tax revenues – to Palestinian Arab expansionist ambitions. Continuing to feed the insatiable appetite of the Palestinian Arabs for our income, our resources, our goodwill, our time.

But the world can no longer afford to devote a grotesquely disproportionate portion of its limited resources to continue pandering to the Palestinian Arabs’ wanton thirst for Jewish blood, Jewish teenagers and schoolboys, Jewish families. The world now has to deal robustly with the scourge of Islamist terrorism that is spreading far and wide. One spiralling problem is the fact that many Islamists from Western countries are travelling to hotbeds of conflict to gain military experience before returning home to practise their black art on the societies that gave them shelter and nurtured them. It’s a problem that intelligence, security and police services want to address, while their political masters try desperately to avoid the issue hoping it will go away. That’s just not going to happen.

As Islamist terrorism spreads throughout already volatile parts of the world, the world community is feeling increasingly uncomfortable about devoting all its resources to the pampered, spoilt brats of the Palestinian Arab leadership. We can ill afford to continue appeasing the Palestinian Arabs every time they throw a tantrum. The world community is getting increasingly impatient with Palestinian Arabs kidnapping Jewish schoolchildren for use as blackmail in achieving what increasing numbers of people see as a distasteful goal – the release of convicted mass-murderers into mainstream society, which evidently is the highest aspiration of Palestinian Arab society.

Because the world has far, far more important issues to deal with. Real problems that threaten whole societies and nations, as opposed to the redacted and often laughably staged Pallywood scenarios that the Palestinian Arabs employ to tug at the heart-strings – and purse-strings – of a world increasingly fed up with their spoiled-brat antics.

Despite the occasional successes of some BDS campaigns, despite their despicable successes in kidnapping schoolchildren and the Palestinian Arabs’ sick preoccupation with violence and death, today they are in danger of being ignored by a world fed up with their selfishness and the massive drain on limited resources that they represent, while genuine humanitarian and strategic crises are flaring up and demanding world attention.

Only problem is, the Palestinian Arab leadership is simply too stupid to realise any of this.
