The Mofaz Law Hijack

Yes, as through this world I've wandered
I've seen lots of funny men;
Some will rob you with a six-gun,
And some with a fountain pen. (Woody Guthrie)

Feiglin: Changing Law to Fit Current Coalition Needs - Political Corruption
2 Tamuz, 5769 (June 24, '09)

Moshe Feiglin, head of the Jewish leadership faction of the Likud, voiced his support for Knesset speaker Reuven Rivlin for opposing Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu on legal reforms. The coalition wants to pass measures allowing MKs from Kadima to split and join the Likud.

“I strengthen the hands of the Knesset speaker and other members of Knesset who protect the Likud and Israel and oppose this scandalous legislation,” Feiglin said. “Changing laws according to current coalition needs is politically corrupt.”

And now as this legislation stands at the threshold, what potential damage can occur? Can this legislation be stopped?
