Thanks to the ongoing monitoring of Palestinian Arab television and media sites by organizations like Palestinian Media Watch (PMW), we can get a pretty clear picture of what the primary message is that they wish to convey to the next generation. But truthfully, bringing about a final conclusion to the conflict, other than through the destruction of the Jewish State and its people just doesn't seem to be the message being conveyed.

Northern Israel called "1948 lands" and "occupied territories" on PA TV kids program

A children's program on official Palestinian Authority television presents Northern Israel to Palestinian children as "occupied territories" and "1948 lands."



A recent episode of The Best Home on PA TV takes a group of children on a trip to Tiberias and the Galilee in Northern Israel. During a break, the kids are told that they are on "occupied land" and "1948 land," the PA's way to describe all of Israel as "occupied" since its founding in 1948. The children are never told they are in Israel, and when referring to places in Israel, the PA TV host says "How beautiful our land is."

"I came here following the conference elections. I hope that there will be more conferences like the 6th Fatah Conference (August 2009). These conferences are important for us because it makes us aware of leadership and that we will be combatants and wage resistance (violence) against the Israelis."

On PA television for kids, Israel is only a fairy tale

Program teaches children about different areas of Palestine, using a map that includes all of Israel but is simply labeled "Palestine."

Palestinian Authority television is broadcasting a new children's show that shows a map of "Palestine" that covers the entire territory of the State of Israel, the group Palestinian Media Watch reported on Tuesday.

According to PMW, the program Chicks features a recurring segment that teaches children about different areas of Palestine, using a map that includes all of Israel but is simply labeled "Palestine."

Next to the map is written in English and Arabic "Explore Your Country."

Founder and director of Palestinian Media Watch, Itamar Marcus, said the PMW report was released as part of a campaign to highlight the reinforcement of such messages of delegitimization of Israel that are endemic to Palestinian Authority broadcasting.

Marcus said the maps used by official PA bodies are no different from those used by terror groups, saying "if you look at Hamas, Islamic Jihad, the Aksa Martyrs Brigades, all of these terror groups use the exact same maps as the PA. The only difference is the PA map doesn't have rifles on it."
