Yet the precise circumstances of Rachel Corrie's tragic and unfortunate death should be recalled at this time. On March 16, 2003 , Rachel Corrie was killed when she was standing in front of a weapons smuggling tunnel and run over by the driver of an IDF vehicle who could not not see Rachel when she crouched in front the armored bulldozer at dusk .

But Rachel leaned forward to climb to the top of the dirt pile. The bulldozer's digging drew her downward, and its driver could not see her anymore. So without lifting the scoop, he turned backward and she was already underneath the blade,"

cut out the word tragic dont make a mockery of what really happened. she took on a bulldozer. no sane person would do that and expect to survive. come on get real.she wanted to be a hero and ended up a zero
ReplyDeletefed up with the publicity given to haters of jews and lovers of terrorists.
While tragic is the word that is quite often used here, Ruth's point is much closer to what had taken place. See "Rachel Corrie Wasn’t the Only ISM Member Playing Chicken with a Bulldozer That Day" http://calevbenyefuneh.blogspot.com/2010/03/rachel-corrie-wasnt-only-ism-member.html#links
