...Jew hatred is accommodated in a way no other hatred is. Students with a Jew hating fetish, gathered at UCL to enjoy the annual ritual. The crowd, raised in rapture as they received their ‘fix’. Jew hatred is being permitted to publicly mutate and grow on campus. This won’t end nicely.

It is Apartheid ‘Week’ again. Last night, 27 Feb 2017 I was at UCL (University College London) for the opening night of UCL’s very own ‘Apartheid Fortnight’ (we were informed that their ‘classy’ week has been ‘doubled’). This event was titled ‘Apartheid: Stories from the Ground‘

The evening was put together by the UCLU Friends of Palestine Society. Which means that the welcoming committee was led by Yahya Abu Seido. A few months ago, Yahya was one of the ringleaders when the protestors tried to ‘no platform’ an Israeli speaker on this campus. In fact, Yahya was caught on camera celebrating what he had believed was the successful closing down of the event. He was part of the group that left the Jewish students locked in a room. Those that left Jewish students needing a police escort to remove them safely. Just a few months later he is happily leading a Jew hating festival on the UCL campus. Another bitter pill that the Jewish UCL students are forced to swallow.

Beware the Lies of March

It’s March, and a grotesque annual event known as Israel Apartheid Week will soon be upon us. Ever since the end of the white supremacist apartheid (Afrikaans for separateness) regime that existed in South Africa from 1948-93 the fascist left and its foolish cohorts have been gunning for Israel, singling out Israel, the State of the Jews, the culmination of Zionism, the liberation movement of the Jewish People, for obloquy and censure, unremittingly, obsessively, insanely, evilly – and racistly. The aim is to delegitimise the Jewish State – to make it a pariah among the nations – and to ensure its ultimate demise.

Bizarre, is it not? That a tiny country – the size of Wales or Tasmania or New Jersey – and occupying just one-sixth of one per cent of the land occupied by the Arab powers, a tiny country that is still the only true democracy in the Middle East, should be the focus of such relentless scrutiny and hostility?

Thus some of the most corrupt and inegalitarian countries in the world, including those which deny basic rights and freedoms to women, to foreign workers, and to members of minority faith, were responsible for the obscene United Nations resolution of 1975 that equated Zionism with racism.

Polakow-Suransky’s Radioactive Thinking

Sacha Polakow-Suransky’s new book The Unspoken Alliance: Israel’s Secret Relationship with Apartheid South Africa has a clear agenda: to argue that there is an ideological similarity between Zionism and Apartheid, and that today’s Israel is the heir of yesterday’s South Africa.

Polakow-Suransky’s book has been celebrated as a welcome eye-opener by Israeli journalists, scholars and politicians, such as Akiva Eldar, Shlomo Ben-Ami, Yossi Beilin, and Avi Shlaim. In truth, however, the book contains no historical revelation (not even the alleged nuclear cooperation between Israel and South Africa in the 1970s and 1980s). Nor is there anything new about the attempt to “prove” the ideological similarity between Zionism and Apartheid. Arab propagandists and European leftists have been playing this tune for over three decades (Jane Hunter’s book Israeli Foreign Policy: South Africa and Central America [1987] comes to mind).

The story goes like this. Starting in the mid-1950s, Israel built diplomatic relations with the new African states, offering its know-how and help to peoples who had suffered from oppression just like the Jews. But then Israel became a colonial power itself in 1967, thus alienating its African friends. After the 1973 Yom Kippur War, Israel was broke and couldn’t think of a better way of making ends meet than by selling weapons to South Africa. No wonder: since Israel became colonialist and racist after 1967, collaborating with South Africa was only natural. From alienated, African countries became furious and broke their ties with the Jewish state. Today, Israel is itself an Apartheid state and the only desirable outcome is for the Jews to follow the example of their Afrikaner brothers by rescinding power to the autochthonous and oppressed majority.

The true story, of course, is very different. The fact that Israel extended its borders in June 1967 as a result of a defensive war was not a source of outrage in Sub-Saharan Africa –on the contrary. During my frequent trips to Africa I have witnessed firsthand that Africans are still resentful of their former Arab enslavers. While they have no sympathy for the Arabs (including for the secluded Lebanese who control entire swaps of Africa’s economies), African Christians are staunch admirers and supporters of Israel.

Rush down to your local college. It's that time of year again! Israel Apartheid Week. And it's the sixth annual! Every major American Jewish organization has put out a statement condemning Israel Apartheid Week - except one. Guess. That's right - Jeremy Ben Enemy & Co. - the ad nauseam, self-branded "Pro Israel" lobbyists. Now if silence is assent, we can only conclude that Jeremy and his patrons, chief among whom is George Soros, heartily approve this obscenity hurled at Israel and Jews. Even the often feckless ADL has declared:

"Past IAW events have featured extreme anti-Israel rhetoric, including accusations of Israeli racism and apartheid; calls for boycott, divestment and sanctions campaigns against Israel and Israeli institutions; and allegations that Israel is committing war crimes and genocide against the Palestinian people. IAW events have taken place on college campus and at churches, community centers and elsewhere."

The American Jewish Committee, CAMERA, The David Project, Stand with Us have all condemned the thinly-disguised Jew-hatred in the form of BDS advocacy (Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions). In its self-aggrandizing description, the group even refuses to identify Jerusalem by name - it is called Al Quds.
