Jeff Fager, chairman of CBS News and executive producer of 60 Minutes, says all the right things about journalistic ethics. But when 60 Minutes correspondent Bob Simon broadcast a clear cut falsehood, Fager disregarded the central journalistic guideline requiring errors be forthrightly corrected.
60 Minutes claimed, wrongly, that Bethlehem is "completely surrounded" by a "wall." When presented with clear evidence that this is false, Fager stonewalled. See details at www.camera.org/60minutes
