Question: Last week a Palestinian Police Officer (Mahmoud Yusef Nimer Hattib) killed an Israeli soldier (NCO Sgt 1st Class Ihab Khatib).

PA Ministry of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs - Information Department Director General Osama Al-Ghoul: Yes

Question: Now he is being held by Israel. Is it the position of the Palestinian Authority that he should be freed?

Osama Al-Ghoul: Of course. This is our struggle with the Israeli occupies (sic)

Question: He should be released. Fair enough. Not to be extradited but instead just freed.

Osama Al-Ghoul: Of course. We are fighting the Israeli occupied. This is our land.
