An Israeli school bus had just finished off-loading some of its passengers when a Hamas anti-tank rocket hit the vehicle, mortally wounding the remaining passenger, a 16-year-old Israeli youth. Rockets and mortars then began raining down on the Jewish state from Gaza.
“We will not tolerate this attack,” Defense Minister Ehud Barak said during a visit to Gaza Division headquarters.
“Our response will continue as long as necessary to make it clear to the other side that these types of attacks will not be tolerated. We hold Hamas responsible for everything that comes out of Gaza and expect that Hamas understands what is permitted and what is forbidden.”
Of course, while Hamas takes credit for the attack, they claim they didn’t know it was a school bus when they targeted it. However, the following video puts that lie to rest.
As you can see, the laser guided missile they fired has an advanced sighting system, allowing the user to clearly see the target in even low light conditions. There is no doubt the terrorists who fired that missile knew what they were shooting at. They have been targeting school buses and Israeli children for decades.
