Here is some news about the Arabs of Gaza that the western media has for some unaccountable reason failed adequately to report.

A five-star hotel has opened in Gaza. You know, the place where there’s a blockade and they are suffering from starvation and genocide and to which high-minded folk launch flotillas out of a disinterested goodness of heart to bring the residents the basics of civilised existence, such as an open sea-route for the smuggling of weapons. The Associated Press tells us:

The Gaza Strip’s first five-star hotel gleams with marble floors, five luxury restaurants and a breezy cafe overlooking the territory's white sandy beaches and sparkling blue Mediterranean Sea. The only thing missing are guests.

Nearly all of the newly opened hotel’s 222 rooms, decked out with ornate metal-worked lamps, flat screen televisions, oversized beds and sea views, sit empty. The tourists whom the developers expected to flood to Gaza when they launched the project 13 years ago are nowhere to be seen. Local residents, most of them living in poverty, can only dream of staying in the gleaming complex.

And why don’t they have any tourists? Well, let’s all think very hard. Could it possibly be anything to do with the fact that the folk who run Gaza do not want peace and economic progress but have turned the place into a theatre of internal terror and external warfare, thus keeping its benighted citizens as a permanently impoverished arsenal of terrorists and human shields?

Now here’s some news about the Arabs of the West Bank that seems to have escaped the eyes of assiduous western journalists. The official Palestinian Authority newspaper, al Hayat al Jadida – which only parrots the PA line – recently went further than ever before in attempting to airbrush the Jews out of their own history by substituting lies for facts. Palestine Media Watch reports:

The following is the PA daily's defining ancient Judea/Israel as ‘colonialism’:

‘The Zionists must acknowledge publicly, in front of the world, that the Jews have no connection to the Palestinian Arab land, upon whose ruins arose the colonialist settler Zionist plan that settles and expels, represented by the Israeli apartheid state. That which occurred two thousand years ago (i.e., the Jewish/Israeli presence in the land), assuming that it is true, represents in the book of history nothing more than invention and falsification and a coarse and crude form of colonialism. [Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, May 27, 2011]

Anyone spot the deliberate contradiction in the above? No? Let me give you a hint. The Jews apparently have ‘no connection to the Palestinian land’, and yet the Jews were also there 2000 years ago (indeed, the Jews were the only people for whom the land of Israel was ever their national kingdom); but that was ‘colonialism’ because the ‘Palestinians' were, er, there first -- even though the Jews ruled the land hundreds of years before the Arab conquest, and even though ‘Palestinians’ never existed in Canaan or indeed anywhere else.

This creative use of fabrication to justify the mendacious and indeed malicious claim that the Jews have no right to any of the land of Israel, thus bolstering the agenda of destroying the State of Israel, is subsidised by Britain and the European Union, which help fund the PA and thus help fund the promotion of such racial hatred and incitement to violence.

Now here is some other news that was reported in today’s Daily Mail. Matthew Kalman revealed that British international aid was being paid by the Palestinian authority to the families of suicide bombers and other terrorists:

The Palestinian Authority, which gets £86 million of British aid a year, has authorised payments of almost £5million to the families of ‘martyrs’. Another £3million has been given to 5,500 Palestinian prisoners held in Israeli jails. The payments, using taxpayers’ cash donated from Britain and the European Union, have been described as ‘ludicrous’ by one Tory MP.

The Palestinian Authority, which oversees the West Bank, has introduced a new law which pays the families of suicide bombers out of its civil service budget. According to the official Palestinian daily newspaper, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, payments to the families of ‘martyrs’ – those killed fighting Israel, including suicide bombers – totalled 3.5 per cent of the budget.

In other words, the British government is not only helping subsidise the promulgation through Palestinian Authority educational materials and media of lies about the Jewish people designed to inflame racial hatred and further the cause of the destruction of Israel; it is also using the money of the unwitting British taxpayer to subsidise terrorism and the murder of Israelis.

And in today's Alice in Wonderland universe, this is called 'having a social conscience’, and those who object are called ‘extreme’.
