Somewhere in Israel, a soldier receives a curious package. Just what kind of Purim party is about to happen? www.thankisraelisoldiers.org

Thank Israeli Soldiers (TIS) gives Jews around the world an easy way to show appreciation to the young men and women protecting Israel.

By sending a care package and personal letter, you will give a soldier a boost of pride and motivation along with the great feeling that someone overseas truly appreciates their service.

People of all ages and nationalities have sent more than 28,000 packages and letters to soldiers through TIS since it was founded in late November 2008. Today, there are TIS bar/bat mitzvah projects, school and community projects taking place around the world, all organized by caring people who want to show appreciation and support to Israeli soldiers.

The care package program is administered in Israel by “Havilot L’Chayalim B’Ahava”, an Israeli non-profit organization, which works together with the IDF and the Aguda LeMaan HaChayal (the Association for the Wellbeing of Israel's Soldiers) to deliver packages to soldiers all over the country. One of Israel’s biggest advertising agencies, Shalmor-Avnon-Amichay of Young & Rubicam, donated the launch campaign and continues to provide its professional services to the project.

Whether Israel is in a time of active combat or relative peace, Thank Israeli Soldiers believes that Israeli soldiers deserve gratitude and appreciation for defending Israel and freedom everywhere.
