Why Is Ahmadinejad Smiling About the Flotilla?

Honest Reporting/Backspin

Looks like Iran's the biggest winner of the Gaza flotilla fallout. A UN Security Council vote on a new round of sanctions against the country's nuclear program scheduled for Thursday was delayed.

Complicating matters is that Turkey has a seat on the Security Council and may not be inclined to vote with the West right now.

Greg Sheridan hits the nail on the head:

The flotilla also managed to change the subject globally. The world has just concluded that Iran may have enough nuclear fuel for two crude nuclear explosive devices. This should be, and until last week was, the No 1 issue on the international agenda. But now everyone is focused on Gaza. From Tehran's point of view, this is gold, delivered free from heaven.
